Orlando T. White - 17 Years of Student Affairs Experience

A graduate of Colorado State University–Pueblo, Orlando T. White holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication. As an undergraduate, he served as a writer/producer on the Rocky Mountain PBS station’s Homework Hotline television program, writing quiz questions and designing graphics for the daily show. Mr. White subsequently earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

From 2009 to 2012, Mr. White gained valuable student affairs experience from major urban centers, including New York City and Philadelphia. In these roles, he supported students in diverse and densely populated campus environments, contributing to initiatives that enhanced student engagement, academic success, and retention. His work in these cities further sharpened his ability to navigate complex institutional structures and advocate for equity in higher education.

In 2012, Mr. White joined the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as a residential life coordinator. In this capacity, he provided on-call student support and crisis response, in addition to training student staff members. From 2014 to 2020, he served as assistant director of residential education, helping increase enrollment of underrepresented groups in student staff programs, advising award-winning student groups, and soft-launching a student-led campus security program. In 2016, Mr. White earned recognition as Kenrick Ali Advisor of the Year in the Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls.

From 2020 to 2025, Orlando T. White served as Associate Dean at Stanford University on the Residential Education Leadership team. He collaborated with tenured faculty and senior administration to advance training of student leaders and professional staff supporting one of the largest residential campuses in the world. In 2024, Mr. White was recognized by Stanford University and the Vice Provost for Student Affairs with the Our Most Important Work Award for Integrated Learning for his efforts to strengthen campus partnerships and enhance training programs for residential student leaders.
